About Daniel's work

Dan Berg has a couple of current art projects, including Fireberg, his experimental electronic music project, and Daniel Berg and the Gestalt, a jazz/latin fuzion band that gigs in New York City's many music venues.

Dan Berg and The Gestalt is a jazz project which incorporates rock, classical, funk, r&b and various Latin styles. The band performs regularly in New York drawing from a repertoire of Dan's original compositions as well as arrangements of jazz standards and other covers. The word "Gestalt" refers to a body which is greater than the sum of its parts--a music which transcends influences and labels while respecting the traditions that make it possible.

Fireberg & Co. An electronic, beat-driven smorgasbord which explores the entire sound spectrum using computers, synthesizers and effects. Collaborations have involved live drummers, sound effects masters and video artists.
